KVCET Introduces Revature’s AI Academy in a Box for AI-Native Engineering Education

Revature has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology (KVCET) to bring AI Academy in a Box into the engineering journey. The progressive multi-year journey is designed to develop AI-native engineers with Junior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) capabilities by graduation.

Building AI-Native Capability Before Graduation

AI is changing how technology is designed, built, and delivered. Institutions need a structured pathway that develops relevant capability throughout students' journey in the college and connects academic learning with practical application.

The partnership puts that approach into action by integrating Recaptures' industry-aligned learning model into KVCET’s academic environment. The program starts with the fundamentals and progresses toward advanced, role-aligned skills through hands-on learning. Each semester functions as its own milestone, preparing students for an industry role.  

The wider pathway connects AI learning with engineering contexts, applied projects, and evidence of student readiness.

Developing Junior FDE Capabilities

The pathway is designed to help students become AI-native engineers with Junior FDE capabilities by graduation. That means developing the technical depth, problem-solving discipline, applied experience, and delivery mindset needed to connect engineering work with real requirements.

For KVCET, the objective is to build role-aligned capability throughout the college experience and strengthen the transition from education to employment. Students gain opportunities to demonstrate what they can do through a portfolio of work, helping make readiness more visible before they enter the workforce.
